We have a new exercise spin bike in our gym at Centuria.

This Friday, December 6 from 5:00 to 7:00 is Happy Hour in the Multi-Purpose room. Bring your own beverage!
Note: At Centuria Happy Hour happens the 1st Friday of each month; so mark you calendar!

DECEMBER 5, 2024, 5:00 pmThe Strata will supply red wine, white wine, meat platter, cheese platter, vegetable platter, sweet and sour meatballs and buns.
If you would like to attend please sign up with your Unit Number, Amount of People attending (please keep this to residents of the building).
If you would like to add to the Christmas cheer please add to the list whether you will be bringing a Salad, Appetizer or a Desert. Please be as descriptive as possible so we can have a nice variety!
The sign up sheet will be in the Mail Room.
No Frills at Centuria Urban Village

New Pool Loungers
October 25, 2024
Our old loungers have been retired and new pool loungers have been received on site and will remain in storage at Centuria until May, 2025 for our new pool season!
Sanitizing our Dumpsters
October 8, 2024
BinClean has been contracted and is scheduled to come to Centuria to clean and sanitize our dumpsters next Tuesday October 15th at 10:00 am.
This should be within an hour or less after our bins get dumped. I ask that you hold off on throwing out your garbage that day until they have cleaned bins.
Our garbage room should smell much better afterwards.

It would appear that Kelowna is experiencing an invasion of Box Elder Bugs. They are an invasive species not native to the Okanagan and are a member of the stink bug family. They are able to flatten themselves out paper thin and get into any structure. Spraying is costly and very ineffective. They like Maple and Elm trees and Kelowna has plenty of both. They nest and breed in leaf litter, so I ask that everyone sweep up any leaf litter that you may have on your patios as these may contain eggs. If we all do. our part hopefully, they will not feel so welcome and will find another neighborhood to invade.

Building ManagerPool Closure
On September 30, 2024, the pool at Centuria Urban Village is closed for the season; however, on a happy note, the May 2025 season is just around the corner!
Usual end of season pool maintenance has been completed and underway and winter cover has been installed.
The hot tub will remain open as usual (9:00 am to 11:00 pm).

Fall window cleaning for 2024 at Centuria was completed during September 23 to 26 by Ever-Clear Window Cleaning.

The main garage door install will begin tomorrow, Friday, July 19th at 8:00 am
During the install we expect a period of 4-6 hours where no one will be able to enter or exit the parkade. If you need your car during the day, please make sure to park outside and have your car removed prior to 8:00 am tomorrow morning.
Apologies for the inconvenience however there is no other way to facilitate the install.

Please give Peter Gehrke a warm welcome as our new Building Superintendent for Certuria Urban Village. His start date is June 25, 2024. Peter has extensive knowledge and experience in the building repairs and maintenance industry. Peter has also worked in hotel repair and maintenance.

Plumbing Work / Bike Room
Owners at Centuria Urban Village with Bikes in the Bike Room please note that this Friday June 28th we are having some essential plumbing work done to prevent possible flooding
It is necessary to have the bike room empty during this day. If you have a bike in the bike room (near the elevator in under ground parking next to parking stall 275), please ensure it is out of there from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on June 28th.
Wieners Plumbing needs access to the ceiling pipes to clean out the sewer pipe. Owners could store the bikes in the parkade for that day.

Hot Tub Cover (May 15, 2024)
A Hot Tub cover has been purchased and installed. This cover was needed as our old cover has served its time and the cover will be more energy efficient. When you are finished with the Hot Tub, please replace the cover.
Just a note when using the “Timer” for the Hot Tub despite the duration you select please let the timer run through its cycle and do not manually lower the timer as this can damage the timer.
Parkade Cleaning (April 18, 2024)
Note on April 18th, 2024, a commercial street sweeper has been hired to clean the entire underground parkade (residence and commercial).
It is imperative that all vehicles be removed from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. All vehicles must be moved off site and unfortunately during the times posts parking is not permitted in visitor section or commercial (1111 Lawson Road) as this is needed for the commercial customers.
Vehicles not moved out of the parkade may have to be towed at the owner’s expense!
Infrared Sauna (January 11, 2024)
The new Infrared Sauna has been installed and replaces our old steam sauna. This Infrared Sauna is state-of-the-art and provides many healthy benefits.
Instructions of how to operate the sauna have been posted to the left of the sauna door above the control panel. Enjoy!
Garbage Room Floor Paint (December 12, 2023)
The Garage Room floor has received a new gray paint finish. Check it out as it looks great!
Car Wash Paint (November 10, 2023)
The Car Wash walls have been painted a wonderful blue colour as well the vacuum has been repaired.
Please note when you have finished washing your car be sure to clean any debris on the floor is down the drain and ensure the water hose and vacuum hose have been returned to the racks for the next use!
Parking Lot Pavement Sealing & Line Painting (August 15, 2023)
Work on sealing the asphalt surface and re-painting the parking lines on both the residence side (visitors parking) and commercial side (1111 Lawson Road) have been completed and open to all again.
Looks wonderful and well worth the inconvenience.
