Centuria Happy Hour

This Friday, April 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 is Happy Hour in the Multi-Purpose room. Bring your own beverage!
Note: At Centuria Happy Hour happens the 1st Friday of each month; so mark you calendar!

Underground Parkade Cleaning 2026
Mark Your Calendar! May 11, 2026, 8:00am
Aqua Hot Wash has been schedule our annual parkade cleaning at Centuria on May 11, 2026, 8:15 am (equipment will be unloaded at 8:00 am). It is imperative that all vehicles and bikes be removed 8:00 to 5:00pm to ensure an optimum job.
(A $50 fee will be charged by the contractor for each car not moved out of parkade and charged to the associated owner).
Note: Note: No parking in commercial or visitor parking lot is permitted.
Spring Window Cleaning 2026
Mark you calendar! May 11, 2026
Ever-Clear will be on site on May 11, 2026, starting at 8:00am to clean all exterior windows and outside balcony glass.
Ever-Clear will likely be at Centuria for about 4 – 5 days).
Make-up Air Fan for Hallways
April 10, 2026
The fan for her Make-up Air that services the hallways is not working. A new fan is being sourced to the system will be up and running as soon as possible.
Bike Audit April 2, 2026
Bike Audit at Centuria has begun!
Above is the first 2 areas. A roll of orange flagging tape on top of the fire extinguisher cabinet in the parkade lobby.
If your bike is in one of these areas, please take a piece of flagging tape and tie it to the handlebars.
Bikes not tagged by May 1st will be deemed abandoned and donated.

Anytime Fitness Floor Update March 29
Update on the new gym floor system to mitigate noise is found below. Anytime Fitness continues to move equipment to reduce noise.

Hot Tub Update March 26, 2026
On March 26, Precision Radar Scanning was on site to scan pool deck concrete slab.

DECEMBER 4, 2025, starting at 5:00 pmThe Strata will supply wine, deli platter, cheese platter, vegetable platter, sweet and sour meatballs and buns.
If you would like to attend please sign up with your Unit Number, Amount of People attending (please keep this to residents of the building).
If you would like to add to the Christmas cheer please add to the list whether you will be bringing a Salad, Appetizer or a Desert. Please be as descriptive as possible so we can have a nice variety!

Pool Closure
On October 1, 2025, the pool at Centuria Urban Village is closed for the season; however, on a happy note, the May 2026 season is just around the corner!
Usual end of season pool maintenance has been completed and underway and winter cover has been installed.The hot tub will be closed as All Services Pool Maintenance will need to cut into the concrete to repair a leak that has been detected.
Garbage Room Floor
The garbage room floor at Centuria received on epoxy finish on September 26. Work involved grinding, epoxy and sealer. Stop by have a look!
Fall Window Cleaning
Ever-Clear will be on site at Centuria Urban Village from September 29 to October 1 for our Fall, 2025, window cleaning.
Please Note: Balcony glass will not be done this cleaning as they are done in the Spring.
Upright Bike in our Gym
There is a new upright Bike in our gym (a Spirit Fitness CU800). It is self-generating power system meaning no electric plug in is required. To make the console come alive you must pedal and many features will become active.

Anytime Fitness Renovation Begins
June 10th, 2025, marks the date as Anytime Fitness is beginning renovations on their new location (old Shoppers Drug Mart) at Centuria Urban Village.
Anytime Fitness has over 276 locations in Canada (as of April, 2025) and operate in 5 counties (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada and Cayman Islands). This newest location will be the 3rd Anytime Fitness in Kelowna.
Hot Tub Update
The Hot Tub is currently closed as repairs are needed to replace the jets that are all cracked. Our pool contractor is working with Delta Engineering to determine the optimum method for replacing the jets whether it is coring, removing top level of concrete or building an outer concrete wall to gain access to the jets. Various options will be costed before proceeding.
Delta Engineering is currently addressing another hot tub in the city with a similar issue so we are being made aware of their progress.

Visitor Parking Lot Cleaning May 26-27
Please see dates below as:
- the concrete roundabout and sidewalks will be cleaned on May 26 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (no vehicle parking will be permitted)
- the asphalt visitor parking will be cleaned on May 27 form 8:30 am to 10:30 am (no vehicle parking will be permitted)
Parkade access/exit will be permitted during the cleaning times!
Main Garage Door Panel Replacement
Our Garage Door Contractor has replaced and repaired our bottom door panel including a new 4 foot long sensor system (see red arrow). Thanks to our Building Manager Pete Gerkhe for recommending this system of new door sensor.
EIFS Exterior Repair
Exterior facade by the visitor parking was damaged by woodpeckers and it is being repaired. However, the contractors found baby chicks in the hole in our siding. So although scaffolding is installed we will have to wait until babies have left the nest to repair our EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems).
Final Horizontal Sanitary Line Flushing Complete
The final phase of the Cleanout and Flushing project is now complete.
We thank the tenants with vehicles in the parkade that had to be moved on Wednesday (May 14) from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Again, the work is complete and removing vehicles on May 15th is not necessary as the horizontal cleaning went better than expected.

Hallway Carpet Cleaning
The carpets at Centuria Urban Village in all hallways (main floor to 17) were cleaned by Cleaning Angels on May 6, 7 and 8. Thanks you residents for removing small entrance rugs or objects in the hallways.
Cleaning Angels staff did a wonderful job and there staff were very courteous and hardworking.
Parkade Cleaning (Tuesday, April 22)
Aqua Hot Wash completed our parkade cleaning for the 2025 season.They scrubbed all day.
Hydro Jet Sanitary Drain Cleaning in Parkade
PHASE 1: HYDRO JET DRAIN CLEANING of PARKADE HORIZONTAL SANITARY LINESAs per the email sent out by Coldwell Realty Property Manager, please note the work will be performed by Wiener’s Plumbing and will take place April 14 – 17 (8:30 am – 3:30 pm).
Parking spots affected will be notified by our Building Manager.
Phase 2: Information will follow.
2nd Floor Washroom Countertops
On March 5, 2025, Stone Brother’s installed new stone countertops in both washrooms on the 2nd floor. Installation of the ADA faucets completed the project.

2nd Floor Washroom Water Tank
On January 29, 2025, a new Hot Water Tank replaced the original system which services the change room showers next to the gym.
New Hot Tub Button System
A simple button style for the Hot Tub jets has been installed on January 17th, 2025. When the green button is pressed the Hot Tub jets will stay on for 15 minutes. The timer system is tucked away in the pool room.

New Stair Railing
January 10, 2025, railing and guardrail has been installed (replaced) at commercial parking entrance off of Lawson Avenue.

New Pool Loungers

Our old loungers have been retired and new pool loungers have been received on site and will remain in storage at Centuria until May, 2025 for our new pool season!
Sanitizing our Dumpsters
October 8, 2024
BinClean has been contracted and is scheduled to come to Centuria to clean and sanitize our dumpsters next Tuesday October 15th at 10:00 am.
This should be within an hour or less after our bins get dumped. I ask that you hold off on throwing out your garbage that day until they have cleaned bins.
Our garbage room should smell much better afterwards.

It would appear that Kelowna is experiencing an invasion of Box Elder Bugs. They are an invasive species not native to the Okanagan and are a member of the stink bug family. They are able to flatten themselves out paper thin and get into any structure. Spraying is costly and very ineffective. They like Maple and Elm trees and Kelowna has plenty of both. They nest and breed in leaf litter, so I ask that everyone sweep up any leaf litter that you may have on your patios as these may contain eggs. If we all do. our part hopefully, they will not feel so welcome and will find another neighborhood to invade.

Garage Door Install – Friday July 19th
The main garage door install will begin tomorrow, Friday, July 19th at 8:00 am
During the install we expect a period of 4-6 hours where no one will be able to enter or exit the parkade. If you need your car during the day, please make sure to park outside and have your car removed prior to 8:00 am tomorrow morning.

Plumbing Work / Bike Room
Owners at Centuria Urban Village with Bikes in the Bike Room please note that this Friday June 28th we are having some essential plumbing work done to prevent possible flooding
It is necessary to have the bike room empty during this day. If you have a bike in the bike room (near the elevator in under ground parking next to parking stall 275), please ensure it is out of there from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on June 28th.
Wieners Plumbing needs access to the ceiling pipes to clean out the sewer pipe. Owners could store the bikes in the parkade for that day.

Hot Tub Cover (May 15, 2024)
A Hot Tub cover has been purchased and installed. This cover was needed as our old cover has served its time and the cover will be more energy efficient. When you are finished with the Hot Tub, please replace the cover.
Just a note when using the “Timer” for the Hot Tub despite the duration you select please let the timer run through its cycle and do not manually lower the timer as this can damage the timer.
Parkade Cleaning (April 18, 2024)
Note on April 18th, 2024, a commercial street sweeper has been hired to clean the entire underground parkade (residence and commercial).
It is imperative that all vehicles be removed from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. All vehicles must be moved off site and unfortunately during the times posts parking is not permitted in visitor section or commercial (1111 Lawson Road) as this is needed for the commercial customers.
Vehicles not moved out of the parkade may have to be towed at the owner’s expense!
Infrared Sauna (January 11, 2024)
The new Infrared Sauna has been installed and replaces our old steam sauna. This Infrared Sauna is state-of-the-art and provides many healthy benefits.
Instructions of how to operate the sauna have been posted to the left of the sauna door above the control panel. Enjoy!
Garbage Room Floor Paint (December 12, 2023)
The Garage Room floor has received a new gray paint finish. Check it out as it looks great!
Car Wash Paint (November 10, 2023)
The Car Wash walls have been painted a wonderful blue colour as well the vacuum has been repaired.
Please note when you have finished washing your car be sure to clean any debris on the floor is down the drain and ensure the water hose and vacuum hose have been returned to the racks for the next use!
Parking Lot Pavement Sealing & Line Painting (August 15, 2023)
Work on sealing the asphalt surface and re-painting the parking lines on both the residence side (visitors parking) and commercial side (1111 Lawson Road) have been completed and open to all again.
Looks wonderful and well worth the inconvenience.
